Our red wine from the collection Fuentes de Duero, Társila 12 Months 2014, has received Gold Medal in the International Awards Berliner Wein Trophy and Gilbert&Gaillard

We are very proud and happy of sharing recognitions of our job as these ones. This time the star is the last vintage of our red wine Társila 12 Months. Last year the 2012 vintage lead the way by obtaining Great Golden Medal at the International Zarcillo Awards and this year it is time for the 2014 vintage.

Some months ago we announced another Gold Medal obtained at Mundus Vini, today two more Gold Medals at two International Awards, one in Germany and other in France. This recognitions confirm the job, effort and eagerness of our family to be a reference in the Duero River Valley.

Since it started in 2004, Deutsche Wein Trophy has been setting standards in the wine industry, it’s indispensable as a guarantee of quality in the international wine scene. All contests are under the auspices of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the International Union of Oenologists (UIOE) and are thus the most strictly controlled wine competitions worldwide. This ensures that all Trophies are awarded according to the same fair rules and high standards of quality.

Társila 12 Months 2014

Társila 12 Months is elaborated with Petit Verdot and Tempranillo vines. The grapes are hand harvested in 25kg boxes at our vineyards and taken immediately to the sorting tables at our contiguous winery.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks of only 8,000kg to ensure an effective temperature control: not less than 20 days at 22oC to 26oC.

Manual drawn off and resting in barrels of 225L of french oak, where the malolactic fermentation takes place with a minimum of four transfers.

Bottled and stored in the half-buried cellar with excellent temperature and humidity conditions.
